Optional High Definition Up-Resolution

The standard for professional videos, our top-of-the-line Teranex Encoders will convert your video to high definition 1080p rather than 525 lines. Teranex 10 Bit Image Processing gives 4x the amount of colors versus standard 8 bit encoders, yielding smoother video gradations. The progressive scan from the bottom to the top of the screen also makes for much smoother look than the original Interlaced Two Field video. It preserves the source detail and helps eliminate jagged edges, resulting in well-defined edges and sharper images.

Tape Baking (required for 3/4" Umatic, 1" and Betamax

These oxide based tapes gain moisture over time making the tape sticky. "Baking" gets the moisture out and allows it to roll freely in the conversion machine. Otherwise it can be victim to Sticky Shed Syndrome (the oxide-recording itself - rips off of the tape as it turns in the player) or it simply gets stuck in the machine.

Physical and Cloud Storage Options

We put all completed digitized files on a physical drive. You may supply your own portable USB flash drive or portable hard drive, or LTO or other hard drive options for larger projects. Or, we can supply the USB or portable drive.

USB flash drive have capacity generally up to 128GB, so these may be used for audio digitizing and smaller video projects. If you are converting many video tapes, a portable hard drive of at least 1TB may be required.

Optionally, we can also upload your final digital files to Dropbox with a link available for 90 days, or directly to another cloud service of your choosing (please contact us to work through specific guidelines and instructions).
